4th Annual Delaware Peer Support Summit

Description: The Peer Training and Outreach Services team at the Mental Health Association in Delaware is happy to announce our 4th Annual Peer Support Summit on Thursday, May 16th at Riverfront Events in Wilmington, DE. This year’s theme is “Creativity and the Arts in Peer Support.” The day will be full of rich discussions and explorations about how art, music, the written word, and other creative avenues can be impactful not only for our mental health but also in providing peer support. This event will feature a variety of guest presenters, a discussion on ethics, and the opportunity to meet others in the field of peer support. Get ready to get your creative juices flowing, for what will be a truly inspirational day!

A certificate for CEUs will be distributed at the end of the event for those who stay the entire time. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Space is limited!

7th Annual One Mile an Hour (OMAH)

Date: Friday, June 14th at 6 pm – Saturday, June 15th at 5 pm
Location: Appoquinimink High School, 1080 Bunker Hill Rd, Middletown, DE 19709

Description: The 7th One Mile an Hour is set for Fri/Sat June 14-15. We’ll be running one mile each hour for 24 straight hours, starting at 6 pm. We hope you will join us for one or more of those miles, to support teen & veteran suicide prevention and mental health awareness programs offered by the Mental Health Association in DE. Wellness Groups

Location: Zoom and In-Person (Newark, Lewes and Pike Creek, DE)
Description: MHA offers wellness groups virtually and in-person for those experiencing depression, anxiety, and/or a loss of a loved one to suicide. As well, we offer wellness groups for those in specific communities, such as the BIPOC community, LGBTQ+ community and disability community.
