MHA Chats: Mental Health in a Post Pandemic World (Virtual)
The pandemic has affected all of us in ways we’re just realizing now that we’re trying to re-establish normalcy. Join us with Lisa Savage (via Zoom) on July 29th @10:00am to talk openly about mental health, how to know if you’re struggling, how to tell if your child needs counseling, and more importantly, what you can do to help yourself.
Meet the Guest Speaker:
Lisa R. Savage, LCSW, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She founded The Center for Child Development (CCD) www.thecenterforchilddevelopment.com, in April 2007. Its primary mission is to increase access to mental health services for children and their families in Delaware. CCD is one of the largest Black-owned private practices in the country with over fifty (50) employees.
Ms. Savage has co-authored articles on the impact of trauma and toxic stress on developing minds. She advocates for equity in mental health services to marginalized communities and works to educate them on how to mitigate the harmful effects of psychological trauma.
In addition to her professional work, Ms. Savage is a coach, speaker, and consultant to mental health professionals who are starting or growing private practices. She is the co-founder of www.cliniciansofcolor.org. It is one of a kind platform to educate and elevate Black and Brown Clinicians all over the world.
