Emily Coggin Vera- MHA’s Executive Director 

Emily Coggin Vera is the Executive Director at the Mental Health Association in Delaware, where she has worked since 2009. She was formerly the Deputy Director and the Project Director of Suicide Prevention, during which time she facilitated the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition, coordinating suicide prevention efforts by multiple agencies throughout the state. She collaborates with other agencies to provide advocacy and enhanced understanding of mental health in the community, and is responsible for maintaining financial accountability, sustainability and operational effectiveness at MHA. Emily received her Master’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Jennifer Seo- MHA’s Deputy Director

Jennifer Seo is currently the Deputy Director at the Mental Health Association in Delaware. In this position, she is involved with various groups that work to improve the mental well-being of Delawareans, including the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition. She also oversees the various programs and services the agency provides to the community, which includes wellness groups throughout the state of Delaware, Suicide Prevention programming, general mental health awareness presentations, and the Mental Health Court Peer Mentor Program. Jennifer is currently a master trainer for ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), trainer for safeTALK (suicide alertness training), and trained in the Lifelines Program (school curriculum trilogy). Previously, she was the Project Director for Suicide Prevention at the Mental Health Association in Delaware.
