Master Your Stress Workshops
The Master Your Stress presentations teach what stress is and how stress affects the body, mind, emotions and behavior. The presentations help the participants learn how to master their stress by learning the difference between good stress, acute stress and bad stress. The participants would learn how to engage their parasympathetic nervous system and understand how their sympathetic nervous system contributes to both wellbeing and dysfunction. They would also be empowered to choose techniques to counter the effects of stress. The presentations give the participants the tools and techniques such as meditation, progressive muscle relaxation and body scans. They are offered by the Mental Health Association in Delaware.
