E-RACING THE BLUES FOR MENTAL HEALTH WALK: WE ARE GOING LIVE!!!
Please join us on October 2, 2021 at 10AM for our annual E-Racing the Blues Walk for Mental Health and Fun Fest, to be held at Glasgow Park, Pavilion #1 in Newark, DE. We are so excited to be able to walk together this year rather than virtually. Being connected is vital to our mental health. Studies have shown that people who feel more connected to others have lower rates of anxiety and depression. We can all use the camaraderie to foster social connection, support and being part of a group endeavor. Exercise helps alleviate low self- esteem and social withdrawal. The positive effects of walking can be built upon by walking with friends and/or family.
This will be our 19th E-Racing the Blues fall event. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year. We will walk 1-2 miles together in support of mental health awareness, followed by individually wrapped refreshments, T-shirts (adults only), raffle prizes, children’s entertainment, games and more. Adults are $25, with no cost for children!
Please visit www.eracingtheblues.org to sign up, donate and/or to create a team. Last year we had 7 teams and hope to build upon them this year. Teamwork doesn’t just benefit our organization, but boosts morale and decreases stress of participants. We raised $31,628 last year through sponsorships, team donations and individual donations. All money raised goes towards funding our wellness groups, suicide prevention trainings, mental health conferences, peer trainings and more, to try to end the stigma of mental health through MHA’s mission of education, advocacy and support. We will do it again this year, but we can’t reach our goal without your help and participation. We are so grateful for the sponsors thus far for the event:
Registration in advance is preferred at this time to help us adhere to COVID 19 safety precautions. For more information, please email Roberta Fishgold (email@example.com). We can’t wait to see you there!!
Thank you to our SPONSORS!
