2023 E-Racing the Blues Walk

Thank you to everyone who participated in our E-Racing the Blues Walks for Mental Health in Rehoboth Beach and/or Glasgow Park on September 17th and 30th. Our fabulous volunteers, 32 sponsors, 13 exhibitors, 150 walkers, 6 teams, kickoff speakers, tai chi instructor, magician, and the many donors we had helped to make our events successful. We have raised over $33,000 to be used to help support our numerous mental health programs. Our donation site will remain open until October 20th. We look forward to doing this again next year, and hope you will all be back with us, growing and evolving as we go.

2023 Funny Bone

Thanks to everyone who came out to support our Funny Bone friendraiser on July 13th, 2023. A good time was had by all as our MC, Belynda Criddell, and two comedians, Xander Hobson and Tommy Highland had us laughing nonstop. We enjoyed dessert, a beverage bar, the beach house raffle, and each other’s company, while realizing the value of laughter, and supporting MHA’s mission of support, education and advocacy. Hope to see you next year!!

2023 Kickin’ the Stigma Out of Mental Illness

MHA held its first Kickin’ the Stigma Out of Mental Illness, kickball tournament, on Saturday, June 24th at Big Oak Country Park in Smyrna, DE.  A very big thank you to Marissa Bennici and Keely Arndt for all their hard work organizing this event to benefit MHA.  Their dedication to the cause raised $1,007.  Our new event brought together three teams and turned torrential rain and thunder into breaks of sunshine, as a good time was had by all.  We hope to grow this event bigger and better for next year!

6th Annual One Mile An Hour

Andrew Shearer led another (6th annual) successful and fun filled OMAH event from June 16th to 17th at Odessa High School.  Approximately $5,562 was raised on behalf of MHA, and 921 miles were run.  Andrew and his family put forth great effort to make this event happen, and we were all so happy to see the torrential rain and thunder stop shortly before the event commenced on Friday evening.  Thank you to Andrew and his family for another event well done!
