The mission of UMatter2DE is to – “promote emotional health, educate Delaware college students who may be struggling with mental illnesses, and strengthen collaborative efforts to prevent suicide among college and university students in Delaware.”-

Attending college can be a wonderful experience. A time of learning, forming long-lasting relationships, and discovering your post-graduation career path. However, balancing classes, extracurriculars, and friendships can also be stressful and subsequently, lead to a decrease in self-care and an increase in burnout. Another effect of an increase in stress is that it can also lead to an increase in depression and higher risk for suicide.

The Mental Health Association in Delaware is proud to present the 5th Annual Higher Education Suicide Prevention Conference! The theme of this year’s conference is “How to Support Yourself and Others”, which will focus on self-care, self-advocacy, crisis support and more in higher education settings. This virtual event will consist of a keynote speaker, panelists, and a few fun, relaxing activities throughout. Look below for more details on the conference, including time, location, and registration details.
