E-Racing the Blues© 2008
E-Racing the Blues© 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk presented by AstraZeneca was a record breaking event for MHA in 2008 as it shattered previous fundraising totals to raise over $101,000 for the agency's mission to support, educate and advocate for people living with mental illness. Chairman of the event, Jane Castle announced that nearly 500 people crossed the finish line in both races and were treated to the sounds of Mario Rocco as he entertained the racers, guests and volunteers. Overall winners of the inaugural 10K run were Mike Monagle and Karen Young. In the 6th annual 5K run, winners were Richard Nair and Ashley Connolly. There were 18 teams this year and the team captain with the most members was Patti Tillotson who captained "Steps for Steph." Jack Akester of the A-TEAM received the award for the team raising the most dollars.
Please support the generous companies who helped us achieve a record breaking year. THANK YOU!
